Nice!

(I would like to see a 6x6 crop of just the white wall)

Well, you know to me it is a narrative, or emotional point to this one, and my goal was not to do an abstract. I can see what you aim for, or at least I think I do, and that is not what I’m aiming for here. Generally speaking, my goal with what I’m doing is almost never just about aesthetics (well, sometimes it is, but…). Aesthetics is just one part of the equation, the narrative or conceptual approach is equally important; and the spatiality of a place, a room with light and textures is essential to me, the sense of space and surface (even when I do more abstract work).

I got a feel here for the movement and the textures in the floor, almost crawling up the wall; there where something almost desperate about it all, and on the same time “painfully beautiful”, so the title “The Tyranny of an Empty Room” felt right. I’m of course very well aware of the fact that this is my reason for doing this image, and what you see or feel is absolutely up to you; nothing is right or wrong here, but this is just an explanation to why I’m not that interested in what you suggest (or would like to see)…

Thanks...

Ok. I get your point about the narrative. You want to tell about the abandoned/ urbex feeling you've got. Perhaps I should rephrase it to :" I would 'also' like to see", because of the beauty of the light on the white texture which would make it abstract and possibly with the door added it could be minimal. I see more potential in this lovely photo, and if you do something with it or not, is up to you. That's all.

My pleasure
