This scene is now up to version E, and I think it's about time I stopped messing about with it and uploaded. Poser Rot is setting in, anyway; the girl in the yellow jumper explodes if I try to pose her, and the shadow settings on my lights keep changing of their own accord, which sends my render times through the roof.

This was done with the help of the Virtual Painter oil paint plug-in. I can't paint that well in reality.

The story goes something like this.

"The sisters huddled together for comfort, as closely as their bonds would allow. They were defiant in the face of the mouldy cellar where they were held; they were confident in the expectation that their parents would cough up the ransom - if it was ever demanded. But what really terrified them was that the kidnapper rejected photography for his ransom note, saying it had no soul; and instead insisted on painting the required picture in oils. 'It will only take a few days to dry', he told them."
