Description
The second map I've made of Amestris and neighboring states, from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.This map was tract from the latest episode of FMA.
I noticed that some boundaries, also visible in the smaller map I've made, are changed, as those of Drachma, Aerugo and Xing
probably for the wars...

Tombow over at www.fullmetal-alchemist.com/fo⦠said that "Donbachi" is a complete fabrication; "I had seen FMA chapter scanlations with some outrageously inaccurate translations posted there, and some of them were even to the point of altering FMA story line, such as ..stating that Amerstris was (at the time of that scanlation) at war against some country called "Donpachi," in fact that was a complete mistranslation of the word "donpach" which was just a Japanese word for describing a sound of canon & gun."

I've placed only names that I know, all the other are simply scribbles placed where real names are on the map

in FMA there're no countries similar to the US

For what I read there, Creta is a quite new country, once divided in many small regions, then unified by the king of one of those regions.
Well, to me these resembles more Italy than USA, also for other three reasons:
Β - The timing: FMA happen in a 19th, 20th century kind of world, and Italy was unified in the second half of 19th century.
Β - Amestris itself seems to resemble Germany. And Creta is at the south of Amestris as Italy is at the south of Germany.
Β - Then, the image they put on that page to represent Creta: To me it looks like Mediterranean architecture.

I thought Aerugo was based on Italy.
Maybe its based off of Greece considering the Mediterranean architecture and it's somewhat south of Germany. Although Greece was founded as a country before Italy.
Then again, I guess we'll never know.

but i can see them in future and make some images on, I'll think about that

I have a big problem with this map. How far north is Briggs cuz they show it like if is Alaska or a place that is near an arctic circle but in the map they show that Β they are way more countries farther north than Briggs, i would understand if they show Drachma in both side of the map, but if not it means that they are in ice age or something like that. I'm not to serious about this is just that i need a world map of this place to answer all my questions :3Β

from the map it doesn't seem so northern, briggs is probably in high mountains.
I'm Italian, I was on the Alps, and I assure you it can be very cold there.
briggs will be in a similar mountains but a little more to the north.

Is this as much of the map they ever show? because I am trying to figure out wheather Xing connects to a different land mass farther south or if its just ocean.

Huh, I finished watching the second anime and was intrigued by the map! Looked everywhere aroud the internet, got bored and came back here as a last resort. And here it is! Thank you for saving me the trouble of not hiding solemnly in a corner. Anywho great map!
