I really think this piece is amazing due to the ambiguity of it. It is fairly unisex in the feeling and so cleanly drawn. I see the paper used is also original looking, as you may have aged it intentionally to give it a feel of an old masters. The clean sharp lines and the mystery...a paperboy or a show off? I just love the fashion, the tidy purse, the climbing roses, and most of all the eyes, looking at a distance at something romantic perhaps.
As for technique, I do feel shadows are overrated sometimes, and you have demonstrated this, although with slightly darker shades of roses, you would have made the subject pop out at a more intense and beautiful way. Nonetheless I am inspired by it's luxurious quality.

The detailing and shading are very cool and make this piece stand out. The textured paper really compliments the cleanliness and simplicity of the linework, as well!

The hand on the left side looks a little awkward, but hands are satan to draw anyway. I think you did amazing!
