Description
The villain of The Ornitar of Arkenon. Unlike the cold and calculating villain, he acts with passion and out of desire. He is ruthless in the fact that he will kill any and all who oppose him and stand in his way, but he will not and does not kill for pleasure.

His mother died when he was very young. He was taken care of and raised by his aunt Jilvar while his father, Borazar ignored him and focused his attention on Watching the Ornitar. Unlike his ancestors, he was not given the opportunity to adjust to the powers that the Ornitar would grant him and so, when it came to his turn to Watch the Ornitar, the power corrupted him and let darkness into his heart. With the visionary powers of the Ornitar at his disposal, he realised that he could conquer the whole of Arkenon and no-one would be able to stop him. The darkness ate away at his heart and soon he wanted nothing more than to accomplish his dream, to the point where he would let nothing stand in his way. He began to push the powers of the Ornitar, to try to get it to see into the future. Realising that itself and the whole of Arkenon was in danger, the Ornitar called Mercuryar, Telensar's mate and she came to reason with him. At first he offered her a place at his side but when she continually refused and called him a heartless tyrant, he accused her of betrayl then killed her. And using the Ornitar to gather an army that would be loyal to him, he became Overlord of East Arkenon.

His child by Mercuryar, does not in fact die, although, out of a desire to protect her from Telensar, Mercuryar tells him the child died before reaching the age of 2 (she is 4 when her parents confront each other). She is to later end up in his employ, but niether know their of true relationship until the events of OoA.
He also had a hybrid son, Tekanar Miscanor; his mother being Jikanel Miscanor, Keeper of the Mirror of Arkenon. He is 6 during the events of OoA.

To be an Arkenonian Dragon, the MUST have three spikes where the head joins the neck and where the tail meets the body and the four spikes on the tail and ears. The double head crest is not common of all Arkenonian Dragons, but it is seen as a trait in some family lines. They can be any shape and any direction. They can breath fire, but use it really conservatively. Constant firebreathing = not so good for the throat. Arkenonian Dragons prefer to use their teeth, claws tailspikes and magic powers for fighting. Telensar is a master of Mesmery and Illusion magic.
