After talking about it for months this is my first real digital painting. I've been scouring digital tutorials for months and getting ready for the transition, and this is my first crack at it (though there's tons of techniques, I've really only scrached the surface).

On this particular picture, I realized after starting it was gonna be a little more difficult because I had to do fur and shiny metal, two things which I need practice coloring. I did what I could, but both of those areas need work. My next one will be a little more simple (at least in terms of textures). Anyone has any free advice or pointers let me know, haha.

Oh, and I don't do all that much fanart, but when you select it in the category thing is 'comic fanart' under book/novels or miscellaneous? And why don't comics have their own? Whats up with that?
