The National Trust, who maintain it on behalf of the Nation foot the bills, they are a sprt pf charity nomibnated to look after buildings of historical interest.. so they rely havily on membership subscriptions and visitors

Hi Michael thank you for the info Interesting!!. I went to both links. I must say your town is lovley and the countryside beautiful!!!There is so much history! I love watching Time Team, We get the programme here. The best part is when they discover ancient artifacts and burials!!! and the Time Team crowd are pretty fun themselves!! They have done some digging in Scotland. Really facinating stuff!!

Thanks Jacqueline! Truth is that I'm so ancient that the Time Team dug me up, reconstituted me, and said I was good for another 60 year hahahaha! Seriously, it is a good programme, isn't there something similar in your lovely country? There must be lots to dig up in a country so vast!!

No nothing much here!!! Most of the best tVshows (in my opinion) are from the UK and USA!!
As you know North America is a relativly young country.. the Ancient artifacts are from the native peoples which are interesting but compared to the 'old countries'; there is less of them per square mile!!
