This is my latest necklace. I finished it in March. It is made of green aventurine cabochons, some dome glass beads, resin flower cabochons, a lot of seed beads and firepolished beadsa nd dagger beads. I'm working on a steampunk inspired necklace at the moment.Related content

Thanks for the compliment! From your gallery I can see that you make similar things than me just on a smaller scale. I think you can do it too. What went wrong? Was it the design or the colour choice? I don't find designing too hard. I struggle much more with mixing colours together. Sometime I start something and realise too late that the colours don't marry very well and I have to start over!

LOL the design and colors were great... what I didn't realize in designing a collar for the first time was that they don't lay flat when worn, but I had drawn it out flat. Rookie mistake. LOL Once I got far enough to realize it, there was no way to fix it. Should have incorporated it into a purse or something but I was so mad at myself I just threw it away. Actually slowly working on another now... we'll see.
