Love the contrast between the sand, dying earth and beautiful ocean scenes, with each being interesting on its own.

I wouldn't be too upset with Pharaoh. God is actually the one responsible for making him stubborn ("hardening his heart"), as seen in several verses likeΒ Exodus 4:21.
Anyways, excellent illustration!

When I zoomed back out of the image, for a second it looked like Moses had a camera to take a picture of the burning bush. XDΒ
I know I would have! XD XD XD

Ok, I believe in God
Now that that's out of the way.Β
The Exodus is perhaps one of the more controversial parts of the OT (The New Testament is far easier to substantiate with evidence)
Some say the Exodus did not happen
Others say it did
Some say it fits PERFECTLY, IF the timelines of Egyptian kingdoms are changed around a bit (the beginning and end of dynasties), but the bible remains the same. Β
Im not going to comment on Noah's flood because IF there was a global flood there COULDN'T be any evidence left over. lol.
Jesus (who has been proven to exist) fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah that were written in the OT, about 1500-1000 years before his birth so the OT must have SOME credibility....but some of these storys are OUT THERE!Β

Interesting opinion. It's good to question things, as long as you don't allow yourself to become too cynical. Personally I believe the Old and New testaments.

Ive not yet read the whole bible, im a bit past the flood...and its a long book.Β
Perhaps you could clear up a few dates for me?Β
Jesus was about 2000 years ago so...Moses was about 3,500 years ago (1500 BC) and Noha about 5,000ish years ago (3000 BC)?Β
Sound about right?Β
I wish, however, that the Bible went into more detail about the first 1000 or so years, (Ya know, between the Fall of Man and the Flood itself, must have been a VERY interesting time. Plus i've heard rumors that in those times mankind was actually MORE technologically advanced than we are today)Β

Yeah it would be interesting to know about the first thousand years or so, but maybe its just better that we don't.

Actually, at that time in Egypt, the priests and scribes were all known as the Per Ankh, and they had started out as being big badass magician dudes who routinely did stuff like decapitating animals and restoring them and turning their staffs into different animals. The whole bit had become so cliche by Moshe's me tho that when he turned his staff into a snake, Perao wouldn't have been impressed in the slightest. What was frightening, though, was when the priests turne their staffs into cobras (symbols of Egypt's power), and Moshe's staff ate theirs. The implications would have been clear: Moshe's God was going to destroy Egypt if the Israelites weren't allowed to leave.

I think you're referring to the poster that 'Eikonik' made of the biblical timeline. That wasn't me! But if you thought that was me, thanks for the compliment!
This isn't for a poster, it was for the 'Big Bible Challenge' book. I did 20 large fold-out illustrations for it, this was number 4. The idea was to try and illustrate 100+ major scenes throughout the Bible in these time-map type of illustrations.
I love the 'Big Story' poster, I'm sure it influenced me when I was doing these.
