DANGER: Poisonous Spines, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
Range: Africa, Central America
Habitat: Tropical Rainforest
Conservation Status: Fictional
Description: The Ya-Te-Veo is a fictional Man-Eating Tree species that is native Africa and Central America, it was described in the 1887 book "Sea and Land" by J. W. Buel.  Like other fictional Man-Eating Trees, it gets the title from having a highly carnivorous diet, much like the smaller carnivorous plants like the Venus Flytrap and the Drosera, also known as the Sundew Plant, but in plants like this, the preferred diet is any large animal and Humans that get too close.  In the original book, the Ya-Te-Veo is described as having dozens of long, poisonous spines that move like tentacles or "many huge serpents in an angry discussion, occasionally darting from side to side as if striking at an imaginary foe.", it gets its name from the hissing sound it makes when a creature gets too close, the sound is similar to the Spanish phrase "ya-te-veo", meaning "I-see-you".  Any creature within the plant's reach will be pierced by the spines, coiled up into the plant's center, then devoured by the Ya-Te-Veo.

Personal Thoughts: I have heard about several kinds of man-eating plants in movies, books, and other sources of media, but this is the first time I've actually heard about the Ya-Te-Veo.  In my personal opinion, having a killer plant like this in a zoo or botanical garden, which is able to kill and eat a Human, is an absolutely terrible idea, but since plants cannot harm animals or people in the game, I can see why it makes a great addition to the Paranoia mod alongside the giant Venus Flytraps in the same mod.  This one has no bugs or glitches, and the modeling and textures look really good, I'd definitely put it in an in-game zoo, just make sure it's a safe distance from guests or animals.
My Rating: 10/10
