Nelith and Anavir are sisters.

Nelith was taken by the Imperial Government at a young age because she hppened to be born under a certain astrological sign that made her aapear to be tyhe reincarnation of an ancient Dark Elf hero. They sent her to Morrowind, passing her off as that hero. But as fate would have it, she acctually IS that hero. She now holds a high place in the Dark Elven heirarchy and has maintained good relations with the empire. Recently, she left on an expedition to a far off continent and has not been heard from.

Anavir was young when her sister was taken, and harbored a grudge against the Empire for a long time. However, shortly after being tossed into the Imperial Prison for attampting to steal a silver dagger (to prove to herself that she could), she had a fateful run in with the Emperor himself. This meeting put Anavir in an adventure to save a country she hated. By th end of this quest, she had not only svaed the Empire, but everyone in it, and along the way gained a respect for it. While she still dislikes the Empire's way of doing its business, she is its greatest hero and would do anything to protect it's people.
