I know that poppy is mostly seen as a symbol of hope but the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of it is opium, so I always viewed this flower as something that has to do with bad dreams and false visions and intoxication and addiction. So it's more of a dark metaphore here)

Beautiful concept and linework! I really like the choice of colours here, and the background its against. The red pops out in a very interesting way, and the glow of the white is justified. Super cool! This could be a tattoo piece!
