Oooooh...
The nifty details remind me of Aaron A.'s work ([link] ), only a little more colorful and with Tim Burton-esque spirals. Mad props.

Someones a fan of ink, yes? I do have to ask though.... is that water color. I've been thinking about giving water colors a shot but the last time produced a, shall we say, unpleasant result.

I really like this. From far off it looks like a magical treehouse. I like the colours you chose as well.

wow the watercolor really does add to it, (was looking at the toybox one)
how do you make the pens not bleed from the watercolor?

Prowling-Wolf In reply to jmast [2004-08-14 01:22:26 +0000 UTC]
... I actually color the page with watercolors first and once its dry draw on top with pen. In this case, I already drew some shapes in certain colors around which I built the design. In toychest, it was more just a general green, darker in some areas and lighter in others, but no shapes as of yet, and then the pen design on top.

it looks good I've been playing with the idea of making the pen drawings with color so that's why I'm interested

I think that I'm too much of a planner with the pen to really do the watercolor thing right
but if i get done with my other idea for colorisizing it i'll let you know,

This would've looked even more beautiful if it were scanned larger.
Looks like it took you a long time to do this. Your time was well spent; the detail in this is amazingly well done.
Amazing work.
