ok
1. fascism is a lot more than silencing independent journalism, controlling corporate media, and ""emphasizing a leader"". im just going to link you to this video because im not about to type two essays in a deviantart comment.
2. implying that Antifa(tm) underhandedly performs or supports fascism, as if antifascists exist under a single fully cohesive group, management, or organization, is a willful misinterpretation of the philosophy and intentions expressed by the movement. antifa protesters Being Antifascist by overriding, protesting, and yes even assaulting genuine actual fascist speakers is done with the understanding that publicizing fascist ideas without counter is in of itself a violent call to more fascist action. i see nothing controversial in stating that alt right or even centrist journalists saying horribly dehumanizing, aggressive, and traumatizing things about or to marginalized people and communities encourages more violence, more dehumanization, and more trauma from others. i also see nothing controversial about stating that this should be prevented in the name of human fucking decency and solidarity with others.Β
3. the three arrows are literally representative of a push against (literally "down with") reaction, capitalism, and fascism, and the symbol originates from the social democratic party of germany as it was clashing with the Actual nazi party. the red on black flags are the logo of antifaschistische aktion, the german network (note, not an organization) and its been in use since 1932.Β
you have some fucking nerve dude. if you recognize that "antifascists are the real fascists" is a shitty scapegoat, then idk why youre literally saying it back at me. please reconsider.
