He's a Eptesicus serotinus β a Serotine Bat. I think, he's just generally a specie molded from the Vespertilionidae, European bats of Europe. With tails...This is also on tumblr .

I was sketching this during character design class and I was thinking about Bartok from Don Bluth's animated film Anastasia. Big heads and flimsy bat bodies. Top that with a bowler hat
Anyway, I rendered my favourite pose of the four and I favoured the sketchy lines of the others.

EHeheheheh!! Well the character's sorta Ro...I mean I thought the hat was already a dead giveaway. He's small so I guess the hat looked a little too big on him. Hence you must've mistaken him.
And yeah. His design is inspired from those kinds of movies. XD

See this is why I don't watch those kinds of things in anime (I say different for blockbuster chick flick movies). It's depressingly fantastical to the point where I just get utterly frustrated with life.Β

I remember my mom getting me to watch a Korean drama called "Playful kiss". It was sweet, adorable and almost dreamlike that there is a 0.5% chance of that ever happening in real life. Β I'd say the same for the story with that video you just showed me.Β
It upsets me that those things have never happened to me really. Very fictional and yeah, romantic and sweet and adorable yeah. Still. It happens ultra rarely to those damn lucky people. Β Those lucky people who can truly relate to such things that they make films and animes about it. Good for them. But I swear there is a 99.5% amount of people (okay I could be wrong with the percentage but I may be close) that don't live in a 'chick flick' world and that fate give them the tidal waves of reality and crap.
It's depressing and fantastical to those like me living in a life of hell - and art AHAHA. My views will change if I do get to meet people I've liked online. But no. For now, I think those things a depressingly fantastical with a minute chance of ever happening in real life - to me anyway. So...I tend to avoid those. It's cool you like this stuff and that it inspires you. For me, it's hard to really appeal to it completely - aside from the inspiring art.Β
I'm not bashing the video at all. I'm just...extremely sad about the story idea. It's too 'fantastical' and 'fantasy-ish'. Β
Too much of those can put me in a hole of anger.

I've seen that anime film that song uses for its video: 5 Centimeters per Second. And trust me: it's sadly misleading.
Though the lyrics would make good inspiration for a Doomsday-verse fic, I'll admit...even if it might involve adjusting some of the details to sound more "Austrian" or "Hungarian" than Japanese. ^^
As for the Crossover, it's with the RDNA-verse. After all, you've got two children of that certain OTP from two universes.
