Description
Ivo’s Grumpy FacePracticing making human face realistic... and, as of this case, a bit (or maybe a lot) creepy.
I was inspired by ~wandger artwork of menacing Eggman, and so I tried making a face that’s half real, half in-character myself.
Please tell me if it’s okay or not.
This one seems to be rather ugly than nice looking.Done in approx. 2 hours by SAI Paint Tool

Details! O.O so many details in this pic! One that caught my eye immediately: the lips!They seem dry, and tensed, showing those scary squared teeth!
And then the goggles, and the dark reflection into the glasses, are very well drawn.
This Eggman does look menacing! An I'd be scared to look into his eyes, without those reflective glasses...brrr o.o

The mouth and its parts was one of the main focus I took on making this, glad it came out as scary as it should've been.
I wouldn't even want to imagine how those hidden eyes look like.

And being too realistic wasn't the way he was made for in the beginning.^^ How he appeared in the opening scene of Sonic Unleashed was just how I like him to be.
You're right! I took reference from one of his olympic pictures, and I felt bad after finishing the pic for making his teeth so out of character.

The old comics were so great. I mean, they were cheesy and horrible, but... they made me laugh, and that's what I enjoy.

But, yeah, those old comics were really good for laughs, having light, esay to enjoy plots and extremely excessive use of puns and all.

The puns were a little hard to swallow, but overall, very fun to read, yes.
You are right about the current comics being too heavy. They take themselves waaaay too seriously at times, especially considering they're Sonic characters and they're cartoony-looking.

It was face-palmingly bad at some points, like portraying Sonic as some kind of player. (I faintly recall the title of a comic being Playa-on-Playa) And Sonic had like... five girls after him, I think? Sally, Amy, Mina, Fiona and Bunnie. It was a mess.
