Love the soft colors here, the practical tangibility of the outfit (and it's wear/tear) and the seriousness that befits the character. Very nice work on her here, and a fitting tribute to a wonderfully illustrated issue from marciotakara !

What's your opinion so far with Cassandra's new background story? I wasn't so sure at first with whole thing with Cain and Mother plot but I'm beginning to like it.
Just hoping that Shiva doesn't challenge her to another battle to death not when she just lost her father.Β

I think that the biggest issue with her new background is that
1. It revolves around Harper, not her
2. There's no Barbara

As much as I liked B & R Eternal and this new Detective Comic series, I really wish they'd reboot her story and just focus mostly on her. I feel like ever since her original story ended in 2000, her story was just all over the place.Β

Yeah, I think her entire 2000-2006 series was incredible, though the quality dipped towards the end, and after that I was really only happy with Gates of Gotham's portrayal of herΒ

At this point, I'm just praying that Detective Comic series keep building her storylines and give her more scenes to work with. They did pretty good job at this chapter and I was content starting from beginning to the end. Hopefully we will see another one next chapterΒ
