RIGLEE, the Water Larva Pokémon. Often found in surfaces of ponds and lakes TEETER DANCing about, RIGLEE has a very curious nature. It is known to approach things that mystifies it in a fancy, wriggling dance.

EDIT 06182010: Due to popular demand [lol], I changed Riglee's expression from sad to less sad. It has been pointed out by good friends and that it kinda shouldn't look sad. I guess doing irony got the better of me and did the "sad Riglee" despite the -glee in the name. So I changed it.

Riglee is a rather active Fakemon which mirrors Trapinch, as this evolution line is meant to be the other Bug version of the Flygon line [the first was Buzzapper ]. I find it hard to separate the fact that Flygon is a dragonfly, an insect so to speak, so I created two evolution lines that is as powerful as Flygon, and Riglee is the second unevolved form of the two lines. I would also like to clear one thing before any suspicions arise. Riglee and its evolutions are NOT generic bugs like the butterflies' and moths' lines. I have Diarthrone and Armoflage as generic bugs already.

Riglee is based on a mosquito's larva stage. And being surface water dwellers, it is but just to add Water as the second type of this Bug-type. Riglee is a very active insect that it can hold its own in a fight. Being Larbuzz ' counterpart, Riglee learns Flail, Double Team, Bug Bite, and the starting moves Leech Life and Tackle. In place of Larbuzz' Quick Attack, Riglee gets the Water-type priority move Aqua Jet; for a starting elemental attack, Riglee has Bubble in place of Larbuzz' Thundershock; and as the strongest move during this stage, Riglee levels up Bubble with Bubblebeam, as compared to Larbuzz' Spark. Riglee actually inherits Bubble and Bubblebeam from Surskit, the original Bug/Water type. And as mentioned in the Dex entry, I added Teeter Dance to Riglee's arsenal of moves because Riglee wriggles, and as such, it would be perfect to have a confusing dance move for it! Also, this Normal-type status-inducing move is Riglee's answer to Larbuzz' elemental Thunder Wave.

Did you notice what I did between Riglee's and Larbuzz' learned moves? I balanced the typing of those moves. Larbuzz has a Normal-typed priority move Quick Attack and an elemental paralysis-inducing Thunder Wave, while Riglee gets an elemental priority move Aqua Jet and a Normal-typed confusing move Teeter Dance. I have to be fair, despite the fact that Riglee is defeated by Larbuzz' typing.

Again referencing to Surskit, the original Bug/Water Pokémon, I gave Riglee the Swift Swim Ability. Why? Because it wriggles in water!

Like Trapinch and Larbuzz, Riglee has a total of 290 stat-wise. However, unlike Trapinch and its whopping 100 Attack and Larbuzz and its above-average 80 Speed, Riglee is more balanced with stats ranging from 40 to 60 only. Riglee's highest stat value, 60, is assigned to both Attack and Speed. Next to that is 50, this time assigned to Riglee's HP. The rest of its stats are at 40, namely Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense. Being part Water-type, Riglee is inclined to balance more than anything else, as most Water-types has almost equal stats, with only a few deviating and earning usually a high HP or Special Attack.
