Description My entry for 's contest.

It's a bit late, but I managed to get it done. Yay! This isn't the first idea I had for the contest though. I had a completely different picture planned out which was a lot more dynamic, but lacked the character this piece has... in my opinion anyway . So I managed to throw together this one in two days.

I'm actually rather pleased with this. There's Torrin with the violin and my character, Griffin, making it snow while Torrin plays. She's an elemental of winter, hence the no shoes if anyone's wondering . Cold doesn't bother her. Drawing her as a young child seemed to fit better as well, rather than drawing her 'normally'.

One of my more mixed media pictures too. Markers and pencil crayons were used for most of it. The snow is colored with chalk pastels and I used some white paint to make the snowflakes show up better for the scan.

Anyway, Torrin belongs to Aya.
Griffin belongs to A.Crowe.

you did nice with the shades of blue. I like how Griffin is looking up you can't tell at Torrin or at the sky. Also I too have played violin...and very hard to hold right both in real life and in drawing...just beautiful. Great choice on a single latren.

That's quite a magestic picture, and kudos to the violin. I play violin and after a few years of playing I've noticed that not many people draw the hand holds right. The bow is a bit awkward as to the angle on the strings (it should maintain a 90 degree angle), but other than that this peice has quite a feeling of the magic of this winter season. Very beautiful, I must say.

^____^ absolutely GORGEOUS. You drew the violin BEAUTIFULLY... I love the sweep of Torrin's skirt and the DANGLIES ON IT Griffin looks lovely here too... and making is SNOW. oh god you get so many hearts for that ^.^ I was really excited to see what you'd do for the contest, and I am far from dissappointed XD absolutely LOVE it Psy!
