I wonder what her English name will be. Will Nintendo of America keep the name? Her name isn't Japanese, so it may stay the same. Did you know Bel is the Celtic god of light, and that Bel is Russian masculine for white in coloration?

Yeah, I've heard from a friend that Bel and Cheren's names are dirived from other language's words for "black" and "white".
I'm sure the names will be localized to something american. They changed the region's name too.

I kinda like simple backgrounds when it's just a... like, a portrait kind of drawing. Most of the time, when I just draw a single person in a drawing, I prefer to just give it a simple background too. C: Besides, who could say a pink background with hearts doesn't suit Bel? C:

that's my thing, it's either, I don't have the skill to make a nice background or I feel it'll take away from the detail in the foreground, making it look flat.
I'd rather have the attention drwn more to what I worked hard on making pretty, you know?

I like the Professor. It's almost like politics hit Pokemon-- Female Professor, Black Gym Leader..
I think White fits the girl better than the boy character because White in Western culture generally denotes softness, things like being fragile and gentle, like women. On the other hand, other than black signifying evil and darkness, it has more of male undertone. I don't know, that's just my mind haha
