thank you! haha, tried to make it look more like the original actor but I guess all the talk aboutΒ tom hardy as punisher worked its way into my brain.

from what I have watched he's got the personality down and the intimidation factor to back it up, the look not just yet but I think that only because of the short hairΒ

i suppose if the character is true, the look is a secondary thing. I felt they developed his persona really well on the show, introduced his ideas very clearly without taking sides. I couldn't hope for a better interpretation!

I heard they're not planning to make a solo Punisher show any time soon, which is sad, but with all the plans for other shows it's easy to understand. Basically, Daredevil S2 was almost like Punisher Season 1, so i guess we should be okay for now XD

I watch dadedevil on Netflix....and you're right : Daredevil S2 is pretty much Punisher season one....
I have roughly about 300 Punisher comics, and I have seen ALL of the Punisher movies ( even that crap from 1989, with Dolph Lundgren )...
Me wanna new Punisher movie...

I have finished watching the season 2. needless to say I really LOVED IT.... needless to say I have a massive crush on him.. why? why?... I have a crush on everyone (except maybe foggy. he's nice and all, but not really my type. I need him to be more SURE of himself, confident, boasterous or something. I'll have less the buddy-feeling he makes me feel. but oh my god, I have a crush on EVERYONE... >> this show killed me. I need season 3

I finished it in two days and my head is still spinning. Frank Castle absolutely destroyed me. I wasn't ready for it...I should've known better! But my mind is a mess and I can't even spell out reasons why I loved this season and characters! ~sobs into a pillow~

yay! I loved t too! Agree that it has some faults, but not in a way that would make The Worst movie ever made as it was claimed to be. Srsly, it sports the same mistakes many other superheroes movies do, so hey...why expect it to be perfect? All the flaws didn't prevent me from liking it! Gonna see it a second time very soon! Also, VERy ready to discuss it with you!!!!! )))))

so I'm on it! I keep rewriting it and I'm so tempted to share my own review with you but it's not a finished piece so I'll wait until it's finished to have you read it. basically, I'm trying to defend BvS and MoS and explain that I'm not mad at superman (pre-MoS) because he's overpowered (I have NO problem with OP characters! Goku's OP, Alucard from Hellsing is OP as fuck, Jack Bauer is OP and even Saitama in One Punch Man is OP. in the justice league cartoons, Martian Manhunter is super OP and the other seven are OP (Aquaman? hello!!! Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Latern (especially Hal Jordan or Kyle Renner), Batman the queen of the gary stus and Hawkgirl/Cyborg whoever is in her place) but all of these characters have an edge to them. Goku's a terrible father/husband despite his adorableness and good heard. he left his friends and family to go train the reincarnation of Buu at the end of DBZ, Alucard has this relationship with humans and that hatred for other monsters just like him and Flash who is SOOO GOOD it hurts, also has his moments of doubts, moments of failure that are his entire responsability. Martian Manhunter lost his family to fire and it such a strong part of him.Β
pre MoS superman? SUPER PERFECT. weakness? Kryptonite that everyone around him seems to get their hands on, When he does something out of character? (kryptonite or mind-control), when he's evil (kryptonite or mind-control except in injustice where he chooses to do all that stuff which makes injustice really great just for that alone) but it's never superman's fault! never! ever! the guy wakes up good, lives and saves lives good, sleeps good, dies good and gets back to life good. where's the edge? he lost krypton but he was a baby with zero memories of krypton so it doesn't work. When he finally gets around who he is, he has the freaking fortress of solitude with holograms of his parents that act and talk as if his parents were with him, so where's the loss there? it's cheating on it! and shitting on the concept too. Batman would never have the chance to have holograms of his parents.Β
nobody dies around Clark. except that one time (which was retconned if I'm correct or was only in the movie version) when Pa' Kent died. so in the comics he has both of his parents, he has a stunning girlfriend who solely existed to be saved/be with him/supposedly root him with humanity. as if he needed her, he had his parents for that, Jimmy Olsen is alive and well despite of the danger. people at Metropolis are hive-minded people who all LOVE superman and the only sane man around (Lex) is treated as if he was wrong to be worried about an alien like superman flying around. (of course, he's corny and of course his ego would get in the way, but they missed the opportunity to tell Β the story of superman the alien (foreigner), with flaws and all who's trying to do good and most of the time succeeds in doing good. he saves the day but at great costs, with extra faith in humanity or something, with help from his friends. (the justice league, the world, the people Β I don't know). who people like Donald Trump with a brain (Lex) would try to get rid of. That superman would speak better to people rather than the flying brick in the comics who can do no wrong.
that's why I loved MoS superman who's really it! an alien in a not-so-loving world who's trying to figure out who he is. he's evolving, he's already so confident and I'm sure when he's born again, he'll be even better. but people stop at "I fly and I punch" superman. Β there are metaphors I wanted to discuss with you (and will in my lengthier reply)
but that's an appetizer

Indeed!my point exactly - where is the hook, when a character is written to be impeccable and without a fault? It doesn't mean characters should be written as brooding and broken by life, but at least some inner conflict, pls? A pinch of self doubt maybe? That would certainly make it easier for readers and viewers to connect to what they're reading or watching, because everyone has their moments of doubt and failures, which by no means should deter people from trying to be better day by day! So, yeah, MoS took a wise root, in my opinion. Also, kudos for showing us a superhero character who doesn't become the best version of himself in a span of a training montage. Some may say it's too boring or slow, but to me it feels just right that they're taking their time, showing us different stages of Superman growing as a character. I mean he was growing as a farmer kid with strange superpowers and then suddenly he realized he wasn't even from this planet...I think that a lot to take in, considering the whole world is about to burn XD And the fact that Clark - by the time of BvS - has like TWO people - in the whole wide world, which he saves daily - who he can trust and be vulnerable around? Isn't it just plain heartbreaking? It basically broadcasts LONELINESS in bold flashing neon lights and what is loneliness if not a feeling everyone on earth can relate to ? I can say the same for Batman in BvS, but that's for another reply...I too need to gather all my thoughts and make them sound adequate in English lol XDDDΒ

You are so right! especially about the training montage! I'm so tired of this old trope! I don't see the point, we don't see them struggle, we know that right after the montage, they'll be able to kick ass... just like that. it's not interesting at all.Β
oh no, MoS and BvS weren't too slow! just the right amount of information and plot points (although, I know bvS was some introduction to the justice league so of course it'll be a bit too packed but I wasn't bothered! movie is out on stream (thanks people) so I'm going to watch it again (because tickets are really expensive. really.)
oh my god, are you in my head???? because that's what I felt, and I felt so protective of him! the guy's been shitted on every since he came to life so why would people not take a seat and chill a bit? he doesn't deserved to be hated on by ungrateful humans. the " the movie is sad, the destruction wasn't necessary) truly annoyed the shit out of me because we're not in the blissfully ignorant 30's, we're not post war 40's, we're not in the bliss of the 60's (minus 1692 and the nuclear scare) we're post 9/11 and people are less inclined to welcome an alien with open arms. thing is, they would probably shoot at him at first sight ahah
people are always looking for a reason to be mad or offended I guess? I almost want to scream at them "if you don't like it, then just ignore the franchise altogether!" I do it with x-men, I just don't care anymore so why won't they??... they still have their comics, former movies. so they have enough material to return to instead of causing so much trouble; I hate people at times. >>
