Description
Rom the space knight was sold in 1979. One of the first electronic toys at the time. It function very primitive compare to current toys. Eyes, body, and gun lights up with some sounds. I never got to play with one when I was a kid.... But I did read some of the comics!Related content

Oh Man I love this take on his character and thanks to another fan here who has a blog based on his character we have a chance if you wish to maybe give our Spaceknight a well needed boost back into the light!! Great ROM piece! I became a regular collector starting with #61. Been a fan ever since. Wasn't keen on Steve Ditko's take but still respected him as the classic Spider-Man artist that he was. Was first aware of ROM from the Parker Bros commercials but was into Star Wars at the time, heh.

I agree. Who knows maybe Marvel can get the rights from Parker Brothers someday to make a ROM remake (like if Marvel and Hasbro got together to make a Micronauts movie seeing as hasbro owns the rights to most of the characters from it)

ROM never looked better! specially liked how you stretched out his abdomen and made him a little more lanky than his clanky looking appearance in the old Marvel Comics...good job and the coloring as well!

I had a Rom toy... his arm broke off.
I thought it was cool, but never really played with it, cuz it was an odd size (large, like 12") and had nothing to go with it...
BUT, I LOVED the comics!!! they were my favorite
I used to go from Plaid Pantry to Plaid Pantry (and 7-11's) looking for back issues
(you know, back before comic shops?)

Oh yeah... I had to hunt down titles at the grocery store.... they were never consistent with the comics! Going to comic con was necessary to get the missing back issues.
