Ottawa (Samurott)
Starting off, Ottawa was a very happy and very adventurous young girl. She wanted to master her scalchopplay but she had to wait for her mother to give her the right to start their adventuring. Once she was old enough, she was given the a-okay and was quickly off to enjoy what the world had too offer. She's a well balanced fighter and is highly skilled in the use of water attacks, but can harness the use of bug energy for a bit of coverage. Ottawa is a think on the fly strategist who specializes in taking advantage of using her teammates's strengths to cover for each other weaknesses. She's energetic, always has a positive attitude, and is exceptionally friendly. However she's also an expert fighter and has no problems fighting people, heck, she straight up enjoys it. Ottawa also takes joy in beating down those she believes are doing harm in the world and while she can see the other side's point of view, she won't tolerate them if they go to far. Oh and yes, once she became a Samurott, Ottawa gained a beard and a mustache. She didn't really mind however and most didn't find this odd sense all Samurotts have facial hair and this is common knowledge.
Haywire (Zebstrika)
Ottawa met Haywire training in the wild with her speed and electrical abilities. She was so impressed with what she saw Ottawa wanted them to join her team. Haywire was hesitant at first, so like most she wanted to test Ottawa out to see if she was worth their time. Much to their shock (pun not intended) not only was Ottawa faster than her at the time, but also managed to win the fight with ease. So with earned respect, Haywire joined Ottawa's team. The two woman got along well and trusted each other as they fight many battles together. Haywire is a tough type gal even if she wasn't the strongest in terms of durability, but she wasn't one to be pushed around and she had a short temper. Haywire was also competitive which bounced off well with Ottawa's light hearted nature. It's just unfortunate that later down the line that Haywire had a hard time to shine in plenty of circumstances. Still she was the residence speedy electric type so Haywire had her uses in battles.
Terrabite (Krookodile)
Just outside of Castilia City at the north of it, lays a desert where many well known pokémon lived. Ottawa wanted at least one of them to join the team. She then soon found Terrabite, or simply Terra since that was his real name. People only added the "bite" at the end to point out the fact that he did indeed have a nasty bite. This chill Sandile found the thought of adventuring interesting and didn't mind the idea of going along with the two females, finding both of them rather cool in their own ways. He and Haywire quickly formed a friendly rivalry. Terrabite was a overall balanced fighter with amazing power and he had the ability to harness the power of Moxie, a powerful ability that increases one's power for every foe one defeats, up to the max of times five. Terrabite took great advantage of this during the right battles and would often sweep entire teams if given the right opportunity which happened often. This actually gave Terra a slightly bloated ego though he did his best to hold himself back with help from his friends since he wanted to stay cool and chill. He was an excellent friend and a jolly one at that and when in a fight he was the type to enjoy himself.
Roc (Archeops)
Okay buckle down here folks. Roc is a cultural ambassador of sorts trying to keep his people's history alive, so he came to Unova to show the ways of his people. However do to an accident within some old ruins he was exploring, Roc became critically injured along side a companion he met up with on his way to Unova. He and his companion were saved by a Yamask who took care of the two but could only bring one of them to a Pokécenter at a time and feared that by the time they came back, the other might die. Luckily for the three of them, Ottawa and her two friends happen to come by and help the three once they noticed them. After bringing Roc to a center for some healing they decided to join the team as a way to repay them for saving their life and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Roc, being part of the Archen line, wasn't very good dealing with pain, and so their power would drop once they were damaged enough. Fortunately Roc trained himself to avoid this rather well and would rarely suffer from this unfortunate weakness. The man was one of an old religion and held respect for life and companionship. He proved himself to be extremely powerful even being able to take out an entire pro-electric team all by himself thanks tot heir speed and power. They too held a competitive side and had a small rival triangle with Haywire and Terrabite. Aside from that he was calm, friendly, and ready for battle.
Hilbert (Garbodor)
The team found Hilbert off to the side in some tall grass near Nimbasa City. The poor guy was down on his luck and he was having it so bad that he got pushed out of the city by his fellow Trubbish, not wanting to fight them do to not wanting any unnecessary conflict. Feeling bad for the guy, Ottawa decided to let the guy join their team, much to the other's dismay. Sure they wanted to help the guy but to let a bum join their group? Well despite their reasonable doubts about Hilbert being good on the team, he quickly proved to be one tough feller. The man could actually gather energy to build up his defenses and war pretty darn good at long range combat, proving to be a really useful fighter despite his bum status. Hilbert was also amazing at being friends with everyone, being able to control his stench thanks to his evolution line and just an overall friendly individual with some nice sage wisdom being older than he looked. Something... interesting happen at one point though. Under some odd circumstances and a misunderstanding, Hilbert somehow became the leader of a tough biker gang, even earning himself a biker jacket and shades... Yeah Hilbert didn't understand it either. He took it in strides though and made a promise to properly lead the gang down a better road once his adventure with the team was over. Though his friends worry about his safety should he fallow through with this promise.
Hex (Cryogonal)
During the winter season in the south entrance to Twist Mountain, the group met an androgynous person who took one good look at at Ottawa and her team and said. "You look like a fun group, may I join?". Of course such an abrupt offer wasn't immediately accepted so Hex said they'd prove themselves within a fight. After taking three of them to defeat the powerful ice-type, Ottawa decided to allow Hex to join. Hex proved themselves useful in the vast majority of fights, while also being extremely fast and a long range specialist. They were perfect for dealing with other ice-types and fighting off dragon-types. Hex was also an interesting friend, allowing their action and beauty to speak more than their words. Though they had no problem with having nice conversations with their team. They got along well with everyone but none of them could ever get a true feel on the androgynous ice type. Leaving it up to debate if they were ever truly friends or just really friendly acquaintances.

I don't think I'll be doing Whitlea's team, simply for the fact that they don't receive nearly as much focus as Blair's.

Also part of my Pokejinka process involves using their nature to help guide the design and I don't know if their natures were ever shown. Maybe in a sketch dump or something, I might consider doin' that, but nothing serious.

o, Hilbert is my personal favorite of the group, as he definitely looks like a cool loser that I imagine him to be. I'm a little weird with Ottowas cuz that beard makes her look WAAAAY to much of a man, but I can deal with it. Haywire is awesome, Hex looks fab, and Roc and Terrabite look great

Yes, she is, I just figured that was no excuse to not add Samurott's awesome beard. The only Pokejinka designs I've ever changed the genders of when they had in-game counterparts were Lucahjin's MyBalls and Donnadrilz because they were male but she kept intentionally referring to them as female due to their name origins. ;3
