Wow, this is a fantastically striking bird! I love the way the feathers look - so pointed and glossy. I can almost see the bird moving, slowly raising all of its feathers.

It was fluffing up its feathers when I took the shot, thats why the stand out so much

Wow! It looks so dark and wonderful! It captures the mood perfectly and you really do feel like the bird is watching you somehow. I like how the bird is the brightest object in the photo. It really emphasizes the fact that it's watching your every move. Great capture, and congrats on the DD!
