I drew this last week after watching the movie but I just ran out of time...

But yeah, last week, me and my mum had a girls afternoon out by going to see "Abominable"; a film about a young girl from China named Yi who goes on a adventure with her friends to return a Yeti back to Mount Everest while she learns to grieve and get over the death of her father.

Honestly, I actually really enjoyed the movie a lot! It's not in my top three but definitely in my top five! I loved how the simple character designs allowed more animation detail to go into the scenery and the moments of yeti/violin magic! I loved Everest and Yi the most and I was honestly shocked by the plot twists and stuff like, DAAAAAM, Dreamworks beating the crap out of Disney for their movie twists lmao

But yeah, I really liked Yi and so I couldn't help myself but draw her! She's now one of my favourite Dreamworks Heroines after Princess Poppy and Susan/Ginormica from MvA! And, so, here is the fanart! And, doing this fanart made me realise we have three movies now where a ethnic child with black hair, brown eyes and a red shirt go on a magic adventure with an animal sidekick where they they play a strings based instrument special to them and have death plus family somewhere in the plot
