Poor Crystal Man never gets a break. He was going to get a visit from Cake Woman on his birthday, but Jewel Man showed up and bribed her for a chance to attack Crystal Man while his defenses were down (with a Gyro Attack no less!) And yes, if you must, that Cake Woman most certainly is a lie.
