Demon #2 - Violator of Innocence - oil on canvas 9x12

Here is one of the sickest demons that hides behind the visage of humanity. The victims it seeks are those of the most innocent, those who cannot fully comprehend the extent of its sickness, those to afraid or not strong enough yet to speak up on their own. The most vulnerable are who it goes after, this our children. An abnormality of the mind triggers such a demon, an insatiable urge corrupts it mind. It possibly stems from a forbidden inner lust or sometimes a past experience ingrained into its mind. But in its most aggressive stages, it derives from the erect mind of the demon. Taking advantage of its environment the demon acts out when its either alone with its victim or when it has fully manipulated the situation. In its most volatile state, it has manipulated those who are even aware of its presence to allow it to act. The damage this demon inflicts on its victims in most cases will not kill them or do major lasting physical damage. But what it will leave is a devastating mental scar that lasts a lifetime, taking the fullest strength of its victim to bear and overcome.

The light dims in a child's eyes, isolated in the darkness with this abomination. Revealing its true form, the cries of a confused child reaches no one... Amongst the newest to life yet now in the embrace of a demon, is something they cannot comprehend. How can it be that those who were thought to protect can destroy. Now reduced to toy for its senses, its sickening touch writhing through their body, its acidic tongue branding the helpless with a deep scar... They now will never be the same for a lifetime just to satisfy a brief moment of time. Changed by the demon even if someday they may find their justice, the scar it left will forever be there to remind them of the horror that once was. For a few the tragedy is that they may live to see the day that they have become the demon. It is horrifying how the most disgusting of demons can wear the flesh and share the heart of man. The horrifying truth being that running into a monster like this is not uncommon, it can even be found in the holiest of places...
