I went to take my son to the park a couple of weeks ago, I took the camera with me to catch some more autumn trees... but instead I came back home with this!! I couldn't even foresee such an awesome sunset view from that park.. but I got lucky!

I’d say you got a better consolation prize than you could’ve imagined…
There are some incredible colours on display here, almost as if the sky is on fire and the apocalypse is upon us. I like how you really put the sunset front and centre in this shot, and the light that emanates from it gives this picture such a warm, inviting glow. Autumn does sound like a wonderful time of year to grab some photos, especially if this is any indication.
A beautiful photograph and very well-presented too. Hope to see more!

Ohh thanks so much!! well... autumn is my favourite season so I went out nearly every day to try and capture autumn essentials... this one must confess has some editing only a layer but does all the difference, but then I guess I don't only do photography, it's more like visual art.... and I'm not really an expert on photoshop but worked on it until it wowed me!! glad you liked it too, and sure for more stay tuned, also plenty more in my gallery already, thanks so much for the rating and the critique!

Hey, I'd very much be a photo-editor if a photo didn't turn out the way I wanted. Sometimes, and I believe this occurs when shooting in RAW, the photo may come out darker than originally captured, and a bit of a touch-up does absolute wonders for a shot.
I've worked on Photoshop in the past (not as a pro, mind you) and personally, I think it only takes some experimentation and patience to really make it work. It's still experience, regardless.
May have to check out your gallery if I keep seeing stuff like this... In the meantime, you're welcome and all the best.

In front of, in back of, on either side, the top, the bottom, or even inside -- man do you know how to make a camera stand up and talk. There is far beyond luck in the execution. Fate may have put you in the right place on the right time and date; but the capture is unquestionable skill and artistic excellence. That composition to fortify the spectacular natural conditions is da bomb as they say. A scene for the painter, a theme for the poet as has been written before -- but perhaps not so exquisitely exemplified before. Now there's one extra fortunate youngster who can say my Mom done this!

No need for concern about the elapsed time between comments. The holidays were the same on this end so i know how all of that goes. Uys pues no, tuve mucha suerte, salí de casa cuando todavía quedaba algo de luz para columpiar al niño, y me llevé la cámara para hacer fotos de hojas o de otoño, pero se me hizo oscuro pronto... y wow, menos mal que llevaba la cámara, estaba apunto de entrar en la zona de los columpios cuando se me presentó este cielo!

Perhaps should be called creative photography.. as half is the reality and the rest is the fanasy touch added on photoshop... not so much fantasy added on here... only one layer of warm colours...but it does the trick to take it from normal to captivating!

İn my opinion it has no meaning how the photograph (sculpture, canvas etc) has been done. The only criterion for me is beauty.

Bueno, tiene algo de photoshop... una máscara de degradado, que le da ese tono tan intenso, pero por lo demás era así... no he tocado nada más... en la vida real los rayos no se aprecian tanto como al aplicarles esa capa de degradado, pero bueno, supongo que hoy en día la fotografía digital consiste en un 80% materia pura y un 20% post producción. Para enseñar lo bonito de la naturaleza elevado al máximo exponente!

A bit busy, a commission here or there, trying to get as much work out as possible... and writing christmas cards, buying presents... looking after a naughty toddler... sigh!

Depending of how it turned out... I like to enhance the colorus a bit, to match what I saw in real life but the camera quite didn't catch, as unfortunately the Canon 1000D is not great at capturing pink tones... I am experimenting a lot with photoshop to get half and half... this one only has a layer of mask? don't even know the name in English as my photoshop is in Spanish!
