Memories Car Cruise, 9-19-07.Civilian Hummer.
This guy did it right. If you're going to buy a
Hummer, this is the kind to get, and you treat
it like the glorified 4-wheeler that it is, put some
mud tires on it, a winch, and you take it OFF ROAD!
I like it!

Is that Hummer a Diesel? Also, what's the horsepower on that thing, and how many cylinders does it have?

An article from 1996 listed these stats for the Hummer:
ENGINE: 6.5-liter Diesel V-8
HORSEPOWER/TORQUE: 170hp@3,400 rpm/290 lb.ft. @1700 rpm
TRANSMISSION: Four-speed automatic

THATS right! The ONLY thing deserved to be called a Hummer is and ALWAYS will be, the H1...in matte black or military fashion only. The REAL mans Hummer. Skip this H2 + H3 bullshit, a Hummer was NOT meant to be "blinged out" by some zulu's. GREAT car show pic!
Also, WHO THE HELL thought that the color yellow should be for a hummer? Matte Black, MAYBE Glossy Black, Gun Metal, or Camo. Period!

I agree!! I, personally, won't even call them 'h1'. It's a Hummer. Further more, if its actually military, then it is a HMMWV, or Humvee.
