Male Bearded Tit,or Reedling posing rather nicely on a reed stem..This was in an aviary which houses one of the Countries largest breeding colonies of these birds.
Pensthorpe Wildlife and gardens in Norfolk,well worth a day out if you are in the region.[link]

Not too far at all. Only a two hour drive! I've planted the seed of the idea into the other half's head, so maybe will get a day trip when the sun comes back!

I just googled and you were right - grey iberian shrike. Maybe there are flocks because it is a protcted area and probably flocks is too strong a word - there were many of them but flying about in 2 and 3s
