Watch it: long comment is long ^^
Truly, a very noble cause you have chosen here, that makes me proud that you dare to step up and speak with words and art, instead of bullets. Yet... I am from the west, and, if I may quote from your article: "The West and the whole world are at fault here not the Palestinian people or the resistance movements"
I do beg your pardon? You blame me? DA is started by the Americans = also from the "evil" west, and you blame so many others? I shall pretend I have not read that insult, and the other insults directed at the unholy evil west. But enough about my western "unimportant" feelings. If you wish to reach more people, and gain the hearts of the west, it might be wise not to insult the west anymore.
But you are partially right: the people are not to blame. On both sides there are tremendous sufferings.
Resistance movements and the army however, are to blame. They are the ones who wave the guns around. They are the ones who choose to shoot and bomb innocents on both sides of the fence.
Over centuries, itβs proven that war does not work. And of course: art is a great way to spread the word of peace without hatred. (so if you get rid of "I'm not to blame, you are blahblahblah" you will have my support, and probably support from so many others, since you will gain so much more)
There are so many Israel-Palestine peace projects. Why not learn from that and take it a step further? Not this anti-zionistic stuff. We've been through that, and unfortunately, it didn't work.
Why continue to use a trail that brings you no result? It's a useless trail and should be discarded. And sometimes, it's for the best to try something you haven't tried at all, or are disgusted by. Reach out, and shake an Israeli's hand. That person will be no more different from you than you from that person. Compassion and understanding are the key stones, I believe.
[link] is what I'm talking about. Get rid of the hatred blahblah and who knows, your campaign might be added to the list?
Dear I don't know what you've been through and I feel horrid about the fact you had to go through all that and there was seemingly no one out there who cared about you or your family. Let me be one person who cares, and please, do believe me when I say that I'm sorry you had to endure all that. You shouldn't have endured all that, you shouldn't have felt all that pain and sorrow. You don't deserve it, your, family, friends and neighbours don't deserve it and guess what: the people on the other side of that fence don't deserve it either. Let's face it: no one deserves it.
I hope you will understand one day, for do you wish the kids of this generation, and upcoming generations, go through the very same thing you've been through? Would you wish for your sons and daughters to grow up in a war torn land?
The best way to end this, is to lay down all weapons, reach out and say: "no more. We will end it today. No more fighting, no more bloodshed, no more pain and sorrow. Today, we will be neighbours, tomorrow we will be friends and the day after, brothers and sisters."
The basic civil rights for children, but also adults, include to live in a world of peace. I have the fortune to live in such a world, yet my heart breaks to see so many people in pain and suffering. There's little I can do, than to preach love and understanding.
As you try to teach me about the Palestine-Israeli conflict, I try to teach you about how this "evil" young lady from the west thinks about what could be a second step to peace and understanding. The first has already been made with the Palestine-Israeli projects (see the link in this comment)
We all have our ways, though I pray to the heavens above that one day, I can celebrate Ramadam with you in the mosque and celebrate a Christmas mass with you in a Synagogue.
After all, whether we are Palestine, Israeli, Dutch, Russian, France or American: we are one people.
Peace, love, justice, understanding and compassion to everyone, on both sides of the fence!

Thank you for reply, yet I'm so sorry to read that you chose to look a given horse in the mouth and wish to be in contradiction. You request awareness, and next moment claim my given awareness is charity.
I'm so sorry to read that. It almost makes me feel like my words were a waste of time and effort, a shame that I've even read this article, actually.
But enough about that, such feelings are truly a waste of time and energy, and the both of us can use our time and energy in a better fashion, I believe.
No matter whether our opinions differ or not, I do hope your son will grow up to become a wise man, like his father is. He deserves so much and I wish you and your family all the luck in the world.
That, is not charity, that is a heartfelt wish for everyone on this world deserves so much.

Please, do keep it neat. Gain hearts by friendship, loose 'm by hatred. Opinions will always differ, that is what makes us unique and beautiful individuals.
Come, end this conflict and be kind to one and other ^_^ who knows that from this slightly negative event something beautiful and positive can come forth ^^

The-First-Ace In reply to Quadraro [2011-08-15 05:16:06 +0000 UTC]
That depends, what is justice for you?
If the next generations of both sides can finally live in peace, would you continue to fire the conflict because there was no justice for the suffering of the past generations yet?

Justice is not mine opinion, it's the most important things in the whole world.
if you wanna peace without justice it's only you.
I wanna Peace with Justice
Cheers

I try to understand what you mean.
Of course I would want a fair peace. Something that makes both sides end up equal to each other.
That's justice for me, that's peace. It's the same really. And it's needed if we wanna have that peace one day.
If that is what you mean with Justice than we mean the same.

Palestine [link]
Definition of Palestine [link]
It varies. You have Palestine in antiquities and then you have the modern day State of Palestine.
π: 0 β©: 1
Biothief In reply to DoomSong8765 [2011-08-15 14:45:21 +0000 UTC]
yeah, technically, the State of Israel was of Palestine until 1947. So Israelis, that generation, used to be Palestinians. It's sad really, instead of either side recognizing each other, they would rather erase each others history.

Biothief In reply to DoomSong8765 [2011-08-15 22:55:15 +0000 UTC]
It is insanity run amuck. I see this like how the American colonies seceded from the British Crown or how the Viceroyalty of New Granada seceded from the Spaniard Crown, Israel can be it's own state but they MUST recognize their Palestinian brethren and neighbors. Both sides are not going anywhere and if one side goes, the other side is seen as a genocidal ass...who wants to deal with that.
Anyways...your question has been answered, especially when no one else would help you with your question.

"Meanwhile, Israel decides, at its own leisure
which bits of the usurped rights to give back"
Before blaming it all/part of taking something on Isreal; look into their history and what was taken from them and what they've gone through. Matter of fact, you don't have to even look into their history, look at them right now surrounded by nations who want to attacke them and hate them seemingly just because they're there.
Here's something lighthearted to think about: [link]

Well how would you feel if your land was taken away from you because somebody else thought that your land belongs to another. How would you feel if your home is taken away from you.I am not supporting any side and I sympathize with both sides. It cannot be denied that the Palestinians have been wronged and nobody did anything about it.

Get your facts straight before talking nonsense.
Those evil zionists invaded Palestine in 1945-1948, not the other way around.
From wikipedia: ([link] )
"A civil war began immediately, and Israel was declared in 1948. The 700,000 Palestinians who fled or were driven from their homes were unable to return following the Lausanne Conference, 1949. In the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, Israel captured and incorporated a further 26% of the Mandate territory, Jordan captured the region today known as the West Bank and the Gaza Strip was captured by Egypt. In the course of the Six Day War in June 1967, Israel captured the rest of Mandate Palestine from Jordan and Egypt, and began a policy of Israeli settlements."
"surrounded by nations who want to attack them?" I LOL at this because those nations are much weaker than Israel, and Israel even has atomic bomb and other nuclear weapons: [link] while their sneaky Mossad agents secretly murdering the nuclear engineers of Iran and other arab countries.
Btw those evil jews are good at killing children: [link]
Now do you support kid murderers?

I am NOT against Palestine or Islreal because to me this whole war is a bunch of shit. I would prefer if they just got along and ended all the killing. However your statement is wrong. Yes, Israelis killed children, but Palestinians have done it too...because it's a WAAAAR. Israelis train children to fight, as shown in [link] BUT [link]
Both sides are doing harm. Both sides want this war to end... And this whole conflict is a load of shit and has no meaning. I just want all this to end.

Wow, regardless of the wrongs that Israel has done to Palestine, based on that post right there you are a complete racist. Seriously- I don't care who the racism is against, it is ALWAYS wrong. You can't yell about how one group is wrong to hate another while you yourself hate with the exact same vehemence. It will never solve the problem- and it looks very bad for this cause of freeing Palestine- I don't want to come in and look at a 'free Palestine' movement to join the ranks of racists(Which I'm not saying the people in the movement are- you are just giving them a bad name.)
I will NEVER join a cause that bases it's arguments in racism or condones it.
(And in case your next post involves telling me how racist Israel is, my above post says nothing about supporting Israel either. I'm not stating my opinion on the subject at all- just my opinion on your behavior.)

creativelycliche In reply to Quadraro [2011-08-15 05:19:41 +0000 UTC]
Haha! Is that so? Nothing that that other fellow said had anything to do with 'justice/freedom/peace'. How about you read the comments before making judgement? He came right off talking about 'evil zionists'. Nothing to do with freedom, everything to do with hate. You have not- I have nothing against you except that you have some reason to defend him.
This is not a unilateral opinion- that doesn't even make sense. If you want to calm you are talking about peace, then you should condemn someone who come on here with the 'unilateral' opinion that all Jews are 'kid killing' dirtbags, because that is what the other commenter said(in BOTH of his posts).
Sincerely, the simple fact that you can defend a racist in the name of 'peace' and 'pride' is immensely offensive to me. I am talking about REMOVING hate as it is anyway- my whole problem is that he was spewing hate. And yet I am the one in the wrong. Give me a break.

lol since when telling the truth is racism? If hating the kid murderers is racist, yes im proud to be racist, you got a problem with that?
You are possibly brainwashed by the american media. Isreal never did anything about peace and they keep killing people just because they are Arabs and have different religion. The real racists are jews.

Excuse me, im a jew myself and i find your comment very offensive, just because some silly israeli's killed some palistine children doesnt mean all jews are evil, in fact, most of the israeli jews dont agree with what thier leader is doing with the decisions. Also, look what palistine does thier OWN people. In fact, i've read a few stories where they even kidnap thier own children and strap bombs to them, leaving them outside centres to be blown up. And you claim that jews are the real child killers? Seriously, get your facts right you stupid idiot.
