Description Yey!! The second tutorial in the series (I promised this a while back)

Basically it explains photoshop tips as well as actual digital painting tips this time, although it is still applicable to other programs too.
The tutorial follows the creation of one of my paintings 'Gothic Fall: Letting go....'
I'm giving away all my secrets, oh gosh!

Please download to view, as DA doesn't seem to like fullviewing it. Hmm, it worked with the other one, maybe because this time the filesize is a bit bigger?
Hope you guys enjoy

A very big thank you to you! There are so many new tricks and I'll try them all, I think. A wonderful idea to teach other people what you've learned already.

Looks rather useful, just a matter of getting the actual program.

QuantumSuz In reply to XxMistressOfPainXx [2007-03-10 18:05:47 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that is true. I hope that some of the techniques are useful whichever program is used. I might do some more tutorials in the future, that are more about the digial painting, and less about the specific program. Thanks for the comments

XxMistressOfPainXx In reply to QuantumSuz [2007-03-13 11:46:37 +0000 UTC]

Your quite welcome, & yeah tutorials that are more based on digital painting would help more people, especially for those who don't have specific programs.

Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful. The tutorials take a while to make but I think they are worth doing so, I too like to see how other people paint their images

LovelyLadyGray In reply to QuantumSuz [2007-01-22 04:20:20 +0000 UTC]

U're welcome! I'm going to HAVE TO try my hand at coloring in my lineart on Adobe Photoshop sometime soon. I bet they did, I bet it's very rewarding to see that too.

I have 2 pics "The Moment That I Met You" (1 day in 2004) & "X-mas Contest: Yura + Kakeso" (2 days in 12/06) that I used Adobe Photoshop to color them in.

-(I'm more of a traditional artist...paper, ink pens, colored pencils, markers, gouache, & watercolor)

QuantumSuz In reply to LovelyLadyGray [2007-01-24 16:37:22 +0000 UTC]

I enjoy traditional artwork too, well at least pencil work! I got an easel for Christmas so I'm going to try and start doing more paintings now I have a little more room to put stuff

LovelyLadyGray In reply to QuantumSuz [2007-01-25 04:31:31 +0000 UTC]

I do a lot of traditional art, pencil, ink, colored pencils, markers, gouache & watercolor! Easels are a lot of fun and enjoy it.

Nice tutorial, it is very helpful for photoshop. I really need to improve . Unfortunately I don't have a tablet, but I have been thinking about getting one.

I use Photoshop 6, and I could not figure out how to get those brush options. Is that something new in Photoshop 7+?

You have to click on download. I have no idea why this one won't fullview. The download button basically should just bring up the image in a local browser window on your desktop, you don't have to save it or anything.

Hey, this is cool. I use Painter IX and The Gimp (there's no way on Earth I can afford Photoshop) but I think many of the tricks you show here are adapatable.

Thanks
