I can't believe that I forgot to upload these! I shot these in 2019 along with a few other series with Astrid from the same day that I've already posted, one with her mermaid tail and another with a red ballgown in the forest. I had been really wanting to go back to a long-ago concept for me and create an Artemis photoshoot. I did a series back in college focusing on Artemis and her nymphs, and it was a series I still really like even now. We did some of the same things for this series, we created a draped dress out of a single piece of fabric and we actually used the same wooden bow that I used for the original shoot. This time around I purchased a handmade arrow from www.podunkhollowshop.com to match the vibe more, and Amanda Elaine Killen created a beautiful hairstyle for Astrid that set off this vintage moon pendant really nicely! Although we shot these during the day, I tried to create a moonlit effect with the colors, as I imagined Artemis being a moon goddess would be out at night in the woods. Artemis is one of my favorite godesses, but I also just really like female characters that are skilled archers? Some other faves are Katniss from The Hunger Games and Merida from Brave!
