Description
Tried to post this one a long time ago, but some dumb DA glitch happened and deleted everything I had on it and I rage-quit for a while. Eventually came out of my Genshin coma and realized I'd never gone back to actually post it.
Either that or I was trying and failing to fix their noses and just elected to make a note of it to try to draw them better next time.
REGARDLESS.
This is June and Hazel, thus far the second youngest in the family unless I give into my urges to make another 8-10 year old gremlin or two that's been rattling around in my head to let this family have at least ONE troublemaker in the family. And lbr, whether because Sasha's a fertile myrtle or Cedar's alien genes are really damn powerful, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to have a crap ton of kids rather consistently.
But I've thus far supressed my urge to give Kit even more siblings, so whether for good or until I finally give into my worst habits, June and Hazel are the next youngest.
Because there's two of them, I won't go into a ton of detail on them here cause that would make this post last an eternity, so I'll just give ya'll a blurb of info until I run out of stuff to talk about, lol

- Full Names: Juniper Penelope Redwood-Price and Hazel Acadia Redwood-Price
- June is the 'older' twin and Hazel is the 'younger' twin, but they're both 13 years old.
- Due to being a cusp babies, June is a Virgo and Hazel is a Libra.
- June is cisgender female and uses she/her pronouns. Hazel is either agender, non-binary or genderfluid; they're only 13 so they're still figuring out which label best suits them and quite frankly, so am I, lol. Hazel will respond to any pronoun, but they/them is their default pronoun. (Still, if you see me accidentally use 'she' it's technically not wrong lol)
- Their sexualities are a mystery due to their age, but there are some clues that might give some ideas. June thinks girls are pretty and is pretty back and forth on her opinion of boys. Hazel, meanwhile, is... pretty ambivalent to the whole concept of romance and intimacy, whether that's due to her personal feelings or due to trauma - or both - is a mystery. Draw your own conclusions from that.
- They're total opposites in terms of personality, as you could probably glean from how they're presented, but rather than being combative and avoidant of one another because of how different they are, they're actually very clingy with each other and don't like being apart for very long.
- The two get on each other's nerves pretty frequently, don't get me wrong. June irritates Hazel a lot by being somewhat fussy, hyper fixated on her appearance, and an overachieving perfectionist, and Hazel can be pretty invasive, bluntly honest to a fault, doesn't clean up her own spaces very often, and purposefully avoidant of making strong connections with other people.
- Like I said, despite getting on each other's nerves a lot, they both have really bad separation anxiety from the other, stemming mostly from trauma. Despite not being very vocal about it, Hazel's is arguably worse because she always feels the need to know where June is at all times. Although she won't personally bother June about it, it's mostly because she just doesn't need to. She'll often just utilize her powers or her affinity for programming and technology to find out her sister herself. June is more likely to text Hazel and ask for pictures, but she'll generally talk herself down from her own anxiety.
- SPEAKING OF SUPERPOWERS:
- Hazel has phantom/ghost-like powers and a variety of extended applications as a result. Not much you wouldn't expect from someone with powers like that; invisibility, intangibility, telekinesis, energy blasts, etc etc. This also grants her some spacial distortion capabilities, such as the ability to create portals from one location to another.
- June, by contrast, has the ability to affect time and temporal energy. Although this can sound like a very impressive power to have, she IS only 13, and she's only really had these powers since she was, like... 7-8. So she hasn't exactly had a ton of time to master them. (NOTE: Since this was a pretty recent decision, I haven't had time to explore the bredth of her current capabilities. We'll update that later.)
- Subject to change due to their age, but presently, Hazel has ambitions of going to space, but she otherwise doesn't give her future a lot of thought; she's only really even in college prep cause June's in it and the work is easy for Hazel anyway. Meanwhile, the future is something June is constantly thinking about, and even in middle school, she's trying to plan out her high school, college and post-college path. She's torn between several options for her future; medicine, law, politics, philanthropy... she doesn't know what she wants to do, all she knows is she wants to do something big and important that's very impactful when she's older.
- June is going through that very typical middle school phase of being obsessed with fitting in and being 'cool' or 'popular', which can often incidentally translate to wanting to maintain a 'normal' appearance. She's often extremely embarrassed of her Venusian traits, and will often hide them even around her family. She's not ashamed of her lineage, but she's terrified of being found out and being made fun of for it. Hazel is on the opposite end of the spectrum and is going through the equally typical 'i'm not like other girls' phase; yk the moody and quiet variant. Listen, it's middle school, we were all cringy back then, cut them some slack.
- Although they both have widely different interests and likes, they do have a few hobbies in common. Neither are bothered by cheesy slasher movies, love sci-fi and fantasy movies (although Hazel prefers sci-fi and June prefers fantasy, they both find urban fantasy to be a happy marriage between the two), they routinely watch medical shows mostly just to rage about how these stupid tv doctors should lose their medical licenses, both of them enjoy digital art, and they both play some of the same video games. Hazel is also very embarrassed to be into some of the same paranormal romances that June is... although she's more likely to be wondering about the physiology of a werewolf and the nature of vampirism from a medical perspective than to be worrying about whether she's on Team Edward or Team Jacob.
- Both are exceedingly well behaved under normal circumstances. June carries it with her almost everywhere, while Hazel is generally more direct and blunt with her family, but while out in public, is completely capable of being polite, well-mannered and proper when she needs to be.
