Fur| Medium-short and smooth throughout his body; off-white around his feet, underbelly, chest, muzzle, and the underside of his tail. A very dark brownish covers the rest of his body, though darker brown-black stripes are patterned over it. His tail fur is longer and fluffier than the fur around his body.

Skin| Dark greyish pink. Pawpads are a darker grey.

Eyes| Amber, bright. Almond-shaped.

Scars| ooo

  Protective | When it comes to people he cares about, Beetle can be protective over them. He will quickly jump to conclusions if he feels someone he cares strongly for is in danger and have little consideration for the repercussions of his actions. If he thinks someone is dangerous or will hurt his clan, he will be extremely cautious around them. Beetle tends to be wary of outsiders in general, but even more so when he fears they pose any threat.

  Patient | Beetle can plan things over long stretches of time without feeling too rushed to bring them to fruit. He doesn't mind if it takes a while for something to get done, even when other cats are irritated over waiting times. This trait is most obvious when Beetle is in a fight, but is also present in his every day life as well.

  Courageous | He's a dauntless type of tom, stepping up to the task even when others are less willing. Beetle won't let his fears stop him if something needs to be done, and danger doesn't deter him. His strong will allows him to be brave through difficult times, even at the risk of panicking later on in private.

  Stubborn | When he's settled on something, it's very difficult to talk Beetle down. His decisions are often final and even those close to him will have trouble trying to change his mind about something. His pigheadedness is useful when he wants to ignore negative emotions or win arguments with others, but it can also cause him problems when he refuses to see the other side of a situation.

  Strict | Beetle follows the rules and expects everyone else to follow them as well. He has no problem calling someone out for not doing as they're supposed to. Beetle's stubbornness attributes to this as well, leaving him unlikely to look the other way when someone does something wrong multiple times.

  Bossy | Beetle has always found it easy to command others and tell them what to do, even long before his current position. He tends to expect others to listen when he speaks and doesn't understand why they wouldn't. Beetle's authoritative tone of voice often helps facilitate this trait. Unfortunately, it can also come across as too demanding or condescending at times when Beetle doesn't think through his words beforehand.

  Easily Irritated | It doesn't take much to get on Beetle's nerves. Talk too much, stay in his personal space too long, make a rude comment, or say something he interprets as inappropriate and he's already temperamental. It's easy to tell when you've done something to bother him because Beetle becomes noticeably irritable and his responses can come across as snappish.

  Cynical | Beetle has a strong belief that others tend to only look out for themselves. He sees the negative in things and always looks for ulterior motives when given the opportunity. It's not as though Beetle assumes the worst in others— It's just, well, he does assume the worst in others. Despite his best intentions, it's not uncommon for Beetle to come across as pessimistic.

  Beetlekit was born to Wrenfur and Swallowfang, a sweet and nurturing mother and a gruff dad. He was born alongside three sisters and a brother, and his aunt often chided Wrenfur for not naming them after birds. As it was, they were named Stonekit, Thistlekit, Beetlekit, Greykit, and Shrewkit. His kithood could be described as 'average.' Beetlekit and Thistlekit often played with each other, learning how to take each other on, and their father gave pointers as he watched the two harmlessly tumble around. Beetle and his siblings were loved by their parents and there was little more he could have asked for.

  As an apprentice, Beetlepaw didn't tend to make friends. He stuck to his mentor or his father whenever he could, not bothering with the other cats except when he had to. He knew it wouldn't help him in life to not have any connections, but he didn't care enough to make any, either. It wasn't until meeting Hollypaw that he felt anything other than distrust or disgust at another apprentice. For this young tom, Beetlepaw was protective. He wanted to keep Hollypaw safe and so looked out for him whenever they were around each other.
