You should care, if this was a weeks work for you and you're giving it away. Then a "designer" just takes one of your letters and sells it as a logo that they've "designed" that takes the piss. You could probably take both the "designer" and the company who are using it as a logo to court and claim a fair amount of royalties, especially if the company using it is selling physical products with your design on.
