I'm still alive. I've been on holidays and I met LK (LittleKuriboh)! the guy who made yu-gi-oh abridged series. And if you don't know the abridge series then you are seriously missing out....I will update a journal explaining my ventures sometime this week...

I was pose practicing and Dark Dan once again reared his evil head.
I know I have been drawing him more often lately but it seems when I draw up a base sketch he wants to come out and play!
I'm quite happy with this one. This is one of the few sketches that reaches the final ink and colouring stage without any changes to pose, body etc. I usually change my mind half way through...

Anywayz I wanted to play with lighting and shadow features. I originally intended his eyes to be red but it was too contrasting to his green face and drew the eye away from his whole figure.

In yu gi oh? The abridged is better - yu gi oh took a while due to the card game battles.
Other cartoons it depends. Some toons/anime doesn't need to be abridged but people do it anyway or people can't edit properly or do delivery on the comedic value that one would expect/liked.

One day... small white fowl will not have their motives questioned when they traverse across a road... *an eagle cries while swooping and soaring through the azure atmosphere, the clouds are soft and billowing mountains of delicate lavenders and reds, and chickens fly majestically behind us, adding to the serenity of our surroundings...*
*uuuunnnntil the chickens remember they can only fly for short distances, and when they do fly, it isn't majestic in the slightest. >XD
