So I got this idea from my Dad and all the outfit ideas came from these Firefighter History Books, so most of the MAIN ideas came from him and most of the credit goes to him. While reading those books I learned a lot of interesting things about old firemen apparel. For intastance, you see the fireman on the left, it looks like is wearing one of those helmets suba divers used to wear. Well that is exactly what he is wearing! Firefighters used to wear them before they invented gas masks. But if you noticed the fireman on the right is wear a gas mask...oh well. Also in the picture the little side pack on the right, that is a portalbe radio that I got inspiration from one of the pictures in the book. And one last thing, the tank backpack thing, the story behind that is that I got that idea off an model drawing of one of the first fire engines made. I took the design of the tank on the engine and converted it into a backpack device. Pretty cool right?

Also I would like to mention that I entered this piece in The Congressional Art Competition. I didn't win, but it was a great opportunity to have my art in a gallery again and plus I got to meet the congress man of my district, Mike Thompson.

And on top of that, my parents were so impressed with this picture that they copyrighted and if you try to steal it... I will sue you for art thief.
