I am extremely impressed.

As I was learning today about the development of BotW;
Did you know that the style of the ancient technology used in the game is actually based on Jomon* era's use of stylisation, like the PokΓ©mon Baltoy and Claydol?

With that knowlege perhaps you could add your own stylistic take on the style of the Jomon* if you wanted. I think that'd be really cool to see too.

I thought it was worth putting out there

I didn't know but thank you very much for pointing this out, that's actually really interesting
I just adore the "ancient technology" type of design that blends old artifacts with sorta futuristic/robotic functions and I obviously loved that in BotW
That's great to know about the origins and inspirations too, thanks a lot once again

Yeah, I did think so.

I've been tasked to create a game character, scene and intro in my college course for gamesdesign, and after I found this out on another assignment, it gave me hope that I could pull something off.
We could only choose from a few themes, and I went with an Aztec Style. I like the angular and stone cut lines, like Breath of the Wild's similarly cut circles.

It's actually a very good notice for me to take into account.
It doesn't have to be completely faithful, just enough to convey the mood, like the art director for BotW did. He chose the Jomon style because it was mysterious since none of the world really knows it.
I just have to do the same with the Aztec theme.

This may just be pointless speil, but I thought it was interesting, especially since you seem quite the designer, yourself.
