Michah had been dreading this day for years. Ever since the day he found out about his eventual exile, he had been terrified of the day he would have to go out on his own. He didn't feel like he was ready. He tried watching what his father did, he tried joining in the other colt's sparring matches, he tried covertly asking for advice, but no matter what he did he always felt more lost that before. He wasn't confident that he could protect a herd, and that certainly wasn't a very attractive point of view. He wasn't really interested in being part of a bachelor herd, either. He wanted to have a herd of his own. He wanted mares and foals and a nice big territory. He wanted to be a big, tough stallion, but he just didn't feel like he had it in him. His mother had reassured him before he left that he would grow and learn and find his way, and boy, he sure hoped she was right.♦ Lead: Michah
