More comic kinkiness from Archie Comics.
In this case its a few of the daily newspaper strips from 1946.

Think about what's happening here. Sure Archie is knocked out, but we see Betty basically stripping naked in front of him! Also it looks like she may be going bra-less beneath those shoulder pads and that's gotta hurt.

Plot-line is that Archie was tricked by Reggie into thiinking he was a great kicker so he'd humiliate himself in front of Veronica and the gang by messing up during the game. Archie finds out just before the game and in confronting Reggie he gets knocked out. Betty goes to see why Archie is not on the field and finds him unconscious. She does the logical thing and dresses up in his pads & uniform and takes his place. And hilarity ensues.
Reading the published collection of Archie strips from 1946-1948 was quite a trip. The relationship of the characters is Archie and Reggie competing for Veronica, Betty loves Archie but gets pretty much ignored.
Oh yeah and Bob Montana drew VERY sexy women in the strip.
