This is a wonderfully well composed picture, and the light is just right.
However, is it me or the pose looks very similar to this piece of art [link]
I am only curious since this is an unconventional pose?

I've never seen that painting before. I posed in that way so it would look like I was coming out of the tub so it came to me naturally. Thanks for sharing.

woah. great part on the models part(assuming it's you, "self portrait" series). excellent job on making it look like you're coming out of the tub vertically. that must have been extremely difficult to do in the bath tub.

That is such an incredible image. It didn't even occur to me that it was a bathtub, at first. My mind immediately jumped to "doorway" or "portal".

Very nice! I second all the love for your concept, paper butterflies and execution and add that the lighting really makes it magical. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Thanks Zamuzel! I took it during my senior year of high school. I thought of the idea while sitting in Economics class.

If the butterflies had concealed the faucet it might not be discovered. Great shot.

Yes, that is the big debate. Conceal the faucet and use real butterflies or leave it how it is. I took this picture during my senior year of high school and I was doing it just for fun. I think the paper butterflies add surrealism to the image but also adds to the "child-like playfulness" to the image. I did conceal the faucet with butterflies to see what it would look like, but this picture has been this way for so long... it just didn't look right to edit over the original. It is a good memory for me.
Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Incredible image with: excellent effect; good artistic quality; excellent pose and great use of butterflies. Its so clever that I initially thought it could only be a photomanip, had it not been for your comment. Very impressive and well done.

I'm just tricking your eye by flipping the camera from being horizontal to vertical. No need for photoshop here.
Thank you, glad you like it.

That so totally makes sense, but its the first moment I looked at it that I thought: "that is a very good levitation shot, but something is different, I really like it". Well done, I think its terrific.
