The character is Parker, and he's going through a transformation sequence from human into an ancient Irish Elk.

Heh... Nah, more mythology and less technology in this guy's case - though I can certainly see where you're coming from. I'm a TransFan of the Dreamwave 'bot designs, myself.

There's certainly nothing wrong with the classics. I still watch those original cartoons.

Granted, the motion in the live-action movie was difficult to follow because the 'bot designs were so abstract - but have you seen what Alex Milne has done with the movieverse Transformers designs in the comics? They are outstanding, and they don't look so much like mobile scrapheaps the way he does them. Just drop-dead gorgeous details. Around DA he's called *markerguru - not to fear, though; he does a bang-up job on Transformers of any era. His 80's-style Transformers work isn't bad either. It's just that his attention to very small details is so impressive, and it made me appreciate the crazy movieverse designs.

I saw his work in a book called "the art of IDW's transformers".......it was sweet......but I like guido......and don's work is insane!
