I love fiery colors!!! So pretty!!! I especially love the wings
Can I ask where you get your prints done? Or do you print them yourself?

Thanks very much!
I do my own printing. I have an Epson 2200 photo printer (it's an older model, but still quite a workhorse), and I use archival ink and paper.

Gorgeous! Such vibrant colors, you have a terrific mastery of blending colors and using complimentary colors to just make everything pop! I may have to get some of those pencils!

Thank you for the comments on using the Caran d'Aches pencils. I've always used Prismacolors, love the way you can build those layers of color. However, when the company was sold (they used to be made by Berol) I think the quality went down. The leads aren't as sturdy; I find I get many more broken inside the body of the pencil. Don't drop them! I also think the colors aren't as dense as they used to be. So I've been wondering if there was a pencil that might be a good replacement, and I thought the d'Aches pencils might be it. I may have buy a small set and play with them to find out if I like them.

Yes, I noticed the quality drop-off when Prismas switched owners. Their fragility is irritating, but I still like their soft-lead quality better than just about any other brand. I haven't found anything else that squishes and blends quite like Prismas.
Carans are much drier and require a different technique, but they are definitely my second favorite choice. I've heard good things about the Derwent Coloursoft pencils also, but I haven't tried them out just yet. Definitely give the Carans a try and see what you think.

I like it. The relatively simple lines make the flames stand out.
