Tremorworks: Demongate: Harionago.Project for ~phoenixsamurai .
The Harionago is a Japanese ghoul. She appears to be a beautiful woman, but her hair has a sentience all its own, and she has a demonaic mouth full of sharp teeth in the back of her head.

I'm not sure if anyone has said this before... But... You got the wrong youkai! Harionago has barbed hair she can control, but otherwise doesn't move. You drew a Futakuchi-onna, who has a mouth on the back of her head, that eats twice as much as the woman by using her hair to feed itself. Other than that, this is fabulous.

I dimly remember that Phoenix and I went back and forth on this creature several times, and inconsistencies/incorrectness aside, this is the design that he ended up liking the best. There may also have been some contention with the Pantheon.org entry at the time, too; I can't remember. It's been several years since we finished this particular phase of the monster manual.

Actually, the creature with a mouth on the back of her head is a futakuchi-onna. A harionago is a woman with hair that has barbs on the ends. She will laugh at a man, and if he laughs back, she will attack him with her hair. The artwork is lovely, though.

D'oh! I blame Phoenixsamurai for the mix-up; he wanted me to go off his specific descriptions, and he did re-combine and re-imagine some of the creatures for his monster manual.

You've got your demons mixed up. This is a Futakuchi, not a Harionago. Harionago's don't have the second mouth, instead they have thorny hair that they control themselves.

Hafta take that one up with Phoenixsamurai. He also may have combined the demons; I think he mentioned the Futakuchi in the text he included in the manual.

That was one of a couple of names that PhoenixSamurai gave me for this ghoulish creature. I just stuck with the name he provided for the main entry for his monster manual.

According to Wikipedia, only men need fear her. She laughs at them, then if they laugh back, she attacks! Women... May be immune. The legend doesn't say.
