I wish I could do this style, sometimes. So soft and no outlines... Every time I try it it looks weird. Do you have any tips for doing this type of art?

Do you use Photoshop? If you do, I threw together a quick tutorial :

It's not the best but I figured it was better than trying to explain it all in a comment, lol. If you don't have Photoshop then it might be a bit more difficult...
