Everything said on the pic is true. It's just the two of them in Kirk's quarters. Naturally in a combination like this Spock's smiling at the only person he does that for. His Captain.
I know I shouldn't but I rather like this one...
What do you think?

Love this one- Spock smiling at Jim is just about the most adorable thing I can think of. It's such a subtle way to show his affection, yet very power- and meaningful, considering how difficult it is to actually make him smile in the first place

I don't know why people can deny K/S, there's one simple fact: it was the first slash pairing and it evolved without influence from other slash pairings, which means that if it was not based in canon it would not exist.

You're right, it was there and they were flirting with each other aaaalll th time and don't we love it? Yep, we do
And that the fandom was built even in those times back then and that it survived and thrived all over the years shows how deep and true their love is as we can still feel it. It'll never grow old!

I'm actually quite new, and I'm also a bit young for your usual Star Trek fan, though I swear I didn't get into it because of the new movie even though I only got into TOS after it came out, I actually don't like the new movie so much (KILL SPOCK/UHURA for a start) but I have a feeling that Star Trek (it really is a great show) and K/S (greatest love story ever written, they even defied death) will stick with me.
I don't see how people can claim that it is all ungrounded speculation, would a huge group of fans around the world in a primarily homophobic society all suddenly incorrectly speculate on the same thing without any provocation and create the first slash pairing which lasted over 4 decades?
I just hope they don't destroy the K/S dynamic in the new movie sequel (because they had a monogamous relationship, friendship or romantic, you can't deny that fact) and push with Spock/Uhura. When will the world accept what we figured out all these years ago (albeit pretty easily, considering how Roddenberry said they were lovers and all)?

Ah well, those people who can't see it or don't want to see it don't understand it and that's okay as ther're probably quite a few fandoms out there which pairrings I wouldn't get.
But then, Kirk and Spock flirt so shamlessly obvious all the time that you can't call ot anything but flirting.
I actually like the fact that the fandom was undergound for so long - I'm convinced it helped building the stead-fast foundation. But how difficult it must have been back it the 70ies and 80ies to be a K/s fan! I have deepest respect for all those early fans...
I have no idea what they are going to do to them in St XII...in any case we have wonderful TOS!
