Description
I finished "Phase 1" of my big Chrono Trigger fan piece. It took a lot of time but I'm pretty happy with the result and I learned a lot in the process. Anyhow, I hope all you Chrono fans out there love this! Creating this gave me an excuse to replay the game

Yeah, I've heard a little lip about Crono, and I kinda see where you get that (sometimes multiple eyes on a piece can be helpful), when I finish the second phase (which will include Magus, Ayla, and the BG) I'm going to darken the shading on the left side of his Gi to make it recessed, that will eliminate that initial read hopefully.

It's great, but i think there are a few things bugging me. I am a hardcore Chrono Trigger fan...So I prefer their original costumes to anything (Which is the only reason I don't like Lucca, but don't get me wrong, she's awesome!) The other thing that bugs me would be Crono's hair, but that is because I am comparing it too much to Goku...

that's a "radical" change lol,but i kinda like how they look here.most noticeable change is their eyes,they sure look a bit older too.kinda like they have grim expressions as well

This is a late coming response, but I happened to see your comment again, and you mentioned grim expressions; When I was drawing this I kept thinking in my head "And the dark wind howls", kinda why I made the wind blowing, almost like they are about to face a grave foe or something.

Looking at it a second time, it's not so bad. Marle's eyes are a bit well defined, which put me off.

Gotcha, I definitely see areas that could've been done better throughout... It sucks being an artist sometimes because the moment you post something you can't help but to see every flaw, and that list of flaws grows with each glance. People I know mention little problems that I can't believe I didn't notice while I was doing the piece. Anyway, feedback is definitely appreciated.

I know what you mean, but if you look at something long enough you sometimes create flaws when there's nothing wrong with it. Not everything can be perfect, the important thing is you conveyed your message.

If you don't have a SNES, they did a recent port to the DS that fixes some of the weird translations. ^_^
