I saw this in the group ! <3
I really like this, Like a lot, I'm surprised that this is a sketch because it's really well done :0 <3
Personally I love how the vibrant reds and pinkish tones show up really well against the skin. You've really conveyed the "glossy lip" really well and i can tell clearly the textures apart, which is always really nice! I also like how you took the time to at least add the teeth, definitely makes it seem more lively~ I can really appreciate that the white highlights and the teeth aren't heavily distracting which lets the lips maintain the focus of the piece. It's funny how even though I can only see the lips I still feel like I grasp at emotions from this like somewhat seductive or mischievous (due to the red colour) <3 I feel like if this was a print at a shop or something I would probably buy it, definitely looks like some really cool print work! I also like the small amount of red background in the corner (I know its a weird thing to pick out but) it kind of fits really well for some reason and I cant fully pin point how - But I hecking like the aesthetic! There's really nothing much that I can say is negative honestly, but if I had to mention ANYTHING it would be the shadow under the lip, I feel like even though I can clearly tell where your light source is I feel like it's slightly to big to the point where is looks a smidge out of place, although only a tiny bit, it's nothing to be worried about <3 oh, oh and another thing! I really like the watercolour like effect I think it adds another layer of texture, more matte which makes the gloss stand out so much more and it looks way more natural as skin <3

Doing our thing at ProjectComment ,
This is a pretty awesome concept. I wish you had said what you had in mind for this project. Is it cover art for a magazine? Is it going to be published anywhere else? I can only presume it was for fun.
It is nice that you decided to go with a more realistic approach. In a small thumbnail view it is fine, but when you enlarge the image, some of the pixels crack and it is rather noticeable, takes away from the smoothness you were looking for. Pink tones for skin is what a lot of artists use but getting the right hue for shading is rather difficult and to avoid that smudging red under the lips and just above the chin is why most settle for darker tones. Browns, tans, anything but red. I suppose it could be presumed that she mused her make-up after giving a nice wet kiss. I do appreciate how your were able to capture her teeth, and the hint of shading around to the two fronts is a nice touch. Softer white edges along the open portions of the mouth would have been less distracting.
The gloss came out well. It seems you really took your time to make the red come out in the right places. The abstract nature of the cupids bow give it an illustrative comical feel. Would make a nice triva game to figure out who you used as a reference. I would say Gwyneth Paltrow and that would be convenient if this was to be a new Amazon App promotional.
Overall I like the project and can't wait to see what more you will produce.

Hello! Coming over here from

Anatomy-
It’s a very good thing that you’re studying and isolating lips because many artists struggle with that part of the face. Honestly though every little point, dimension, and shape of the lips looks amazingly accurate without being stiff and not without stylization. There really isn’t anything I can think to point out. Somehow they’re plump but expressive. Nice work.
Shading and Color-
Gorgeous use of both. All the pink makes this piece look so erotic and romantic. The way the glossy look was achieved is also very special and not seen anywhere else. The shading on the face is also brilliant and makes this look like crisp watercolor. I really like the look your shading is achieving. It’s very unique and beautiful.
Line art-
This is where the only bit of criticism comes into play, since the rest of the drawing is so gorgeous. Now, this is a lineless piece so I’m not commenting on the nonexistent outlines but I will mention the mouth line. The left side is done perfectly but on the right it appears the lower lip is overlapping the mouth in a slight unnatural manner. But that’s honestly the only thing I can think of critiquing here.
What you’re doing right-
This was definitely a shorter critique than what I’m used to because nearly everything looks perfect. But your strongest aspect is your ability to create an atmosphere with your colors. I really do love your pallets. Anyway I hope you enjoyed my critique!
