this is one of the first things i've painted with oil paint, and i'm in love. it is the perfect medium. *sighs and runs to spend all her moolah on paint*

a character i've been drawing a lot of lately, there will be numerous paintings with her as the subject. this painting was done over a while, because i'm inexperienced with oil paint, and lazy (i'd paint a petal, then wander off on a foodrun). and it's not entirely finished, because i've run out of yellow paint. i just wanted (needed) to get advice on what to add/subtract. *looks meaningfully at devstalkers*

my brother thinks the birds don't go with the colours. i'm starting to agree. i might make them lighter. they started out as doves but ended up as crows. lines will be added; those red poppies at the bottom will have stems, and the skirt at the top will be pegged to a washing line, etc.
